Starting my Quantum Material Sciences Internship
Today, I officially started my internship at George Mason University’s Krasnow Institute. I applied for the internship through their Aspiring Scientists Summer Research Program. The 8 week full-time internship is offered to roughly 150 students from all over the world, and gives interns a chance to explore a field they are interested in with a mentor performing research in the field. I was excited to meet my fellow interns today at our orientation, where we got a chance to hear from a few prolific scientists about the process of research.
As a quantum material sciences intern, I will be investigating various topological materials and determining their potential for use in the next generation of quantum computers. Stay tuned for more updates!
